24 bottles of cough syrup seized in Rajbagh Kathua, three arrested

Kathua: In a decisive action against drug menace within the district Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal  today recovered  24 No's of bottles of Win Cirex cough syrup like contraband  in the JD of PS Rajbagh, 01 vehicle seized and  three persons were arrested in this connection

A team of P/S Rajbagh led by Inspector Amit Sangra, SHO P/S Rajbagh  laid a naka at NHW in front of P/S Rajbagh  noticed one suspicious  vehicle (Vitara Breeza) bearing Reg. No. JK08H5000 which was enrouted from Jammu towards Kathua was signalled to stop for checking. On thorough checking 24 bottles of Win Cirex Cough Syrup (Codeine Phosphate) 100ml each were recovered from the possesion of  three  persons  namely 1. Deepak Kumar S/o Ashwani Kumar Age 29  Yrs. R/o ward No 17 Kathua 2. Tarun Sharma S/o Shiv Dutt Age 20Yrs R/o ward No 06 Kathua 3. Hitesh Gupta S/o Rakesh Gupta Age 22Yrs. ward No. 2 kathua. Meanwhile all the recovered consignment of contraband like item was sezied, 03 persons arrested alongwith vehicle was seized on spot. On this instant case vide FIR no.186/2021 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Rajbagh and further investigation has been set into motion.
