MRSPTU 7th Inter Zonal Youth Festival 2022 “Lehraunda Punjab” concluded on colourful note



(MRS-PTU) Bathinda’s 7th Inter-Zonal Youth Festival-2022 titled as “Lehraunda Punjab” aimed to promote talent and culture concluded amidst much fanfare at Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura.
 


MRS-PTU, Bathinda main campus secured first position and bagged the overall trophy. While Baba Farid College of Engineering & Technology, Deon, Bathinda and SD College of Pharmacy, Barnala jointly stood 1st Runner Up. Whereas Guru Gobind Singh College of Management & Technology, Giddarbaha stood 2nd runner up.
 
 



 

The Youth festival dedicated to the birth Anniversary of “Sher-E-Punjab” Maharaja Ranjit Singh with the theme “Lehraunda Punjab ” which underlines the all-round Progress and Prosperity of Punjab and, it consisted of various cultural and technical events, creative competitions and talent oriented cultural performances.



More than 500 students of participating Constituent and affiliated colleges to the university celebrated the spirit of life by performing in various events of music, theatre, dance, literature, fine arts, besides various cultural, technical and literary events in various dimensions of performing arts; skits, song, dances, music Performance, Giddha and Bhangra were the main attractions of the event.
 

 



 

The closing & prize distribution ceremony was graced by Cabinet Minister, Social Security, Woman & Child Development, Govt. of Punjab, Dr. Baljit Kaur, while the inauguration ceremony was done by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the events.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Buta Singh Sidhu said the youth festival is a unique platform for young talent and a celebration of youthful creativity and innovation. He said that the youngsters were blessed with several qualities and one of them was that such programmes helped them develop a team spirit, exhibit talent and skills during the competitions, which could help them to excel in their lives. He said these youth festivals not only revive our rich cultural heritage but give us a spirit of teamwork and good health.
 


Dr. Baljit Kaur while congratulating all winning & participating colleges during prize distribution ceremony said that youth festivals aim to propagate the concept of national integration, spirit of communal harmony, brotherhood, courage and adventure amongst the youth by exhibiting their cultural prowess at a common platform.



Chetan Singh Jouramajra, Health & Family Welfare Minister, Punjab, Dr. Gurinder Pal Singh Brar, Registrar, MRSPTU, Bathinda; Dr. Bhupinder Pal Singh Dhot, Director, Sports & Youth Welfare, MRSPTU, Bathinda, Rajiv Arora, Director, All India Radio, Bathinda, Director Public Relations, Harjinder Singh Sidhu also graced the occasion as special guests.

MRSPTU, Main Campus, Bathinda; Punjab Institute of Technology; Moga; Punjab Institute of Technology, Nandgarh; Punjab Institute of Technology, Rajpura; Punjab State Aeronautical Engineering College, Patiala; Baba Farid College of Engineering & Technology, Deon, Bathinda; Aryans College of Pharmacy, Rajpura, Bharat Group of Colleges, Sardulgarh, Mansa Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Government Polytechnic College for Girls, Patiala; Guru Gobind Singh College of Management & Technology, Giddarbaha; Guru Ram Das College of Pharmacy, Malout; SD College of Pharmacy, Barnala; Universal College, Patran, Patiala and Young Scholars College, Handiaya, Distt. Barnala etc. participated.
 


The prominent personalities from different fields Dr. Kuldeep Kaur Dhaliwal, Principal Mata Ganga Khalsa College, Harpreet Singh, actor and director were observers of the festival. The stage anchoring was done very well by prof. Gurpreet Singh Sony (MIMIT) and Dr. Sunita Kotwal (MRS-PTU) kept the audience spellbound.

Dr. Parminder Kaur, Dr. Manveen Kaur, Raj Kumar Tuli from All India Radio Jalandhar, Shri Pritam Rupal, Dr. Navdeep Kaur, head theatre department Punjab University, Dr Tajinder Singh, Punjab University, Ravinder Kaur, Rupinder Kaur and Dr. Johal, Jaswant Kaur from GNE, Ravinder Ranguwal, Dr. Anjali, Kuldeep Kaur, Inderpreet Kaur and Rajpreet Kaur, Dr. Pajapati and Sohan Saharan were judges of main events.


MRS-PTU’s 7th Inter Zonal Youth Festival 2022 “Lehraunda Punjab” concluded on colourful note. Dr. Bhupinderpal Singh Dhot led team of university cultural council members and officials including Dr. Mukesh Grover, Ar. Amandeep Kaur, Er. Sunita Kotwal, Er. Navdeep Kaur, Er. Sukhjinder Singh, Dr. Harmanjot Kaur, Sh. Sikander Singh Sidhu, Rahul Menon, Dr. Haramritpal Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Tejinder Singh, Gurpreet Singh(sports) worked very hard to make the event successful.
