Congress takes to streets seeking CBI probe in JJM scam
JkPCC chief leads protest demonstration over smart meters, toll tax, property tax, price rise, unemployment

Jammu: Congress today took to streets seeking CBI probe into alleged scam in 14000 cr JAl Jeevan Mission project in Jammu & Kashmir besides issues of smart meters, toll plaza, property tax, rising prices and record unemployment.

Leading a large Protest Jkpcc President Vikar Rasool Wani demanded CBI probe into allegations leveled by Senior IAS officer, who headed the Jal Shakti department as Principal Secretary Mr. Ashok kumar Parmar ,who has filed a complaint before the National SC commission . He questioned the failure of centre Govt. to order a high level probe into the serious allegations of bungling in the multi crore project for J&K.

Accompanied by working president shri Raman Bhalla and all senior leadership of the party, the large number of prominent congress leaders and workers including functionaries of PCC, DCC, Frontal wings, corporators ex corporators, blocks and wards of Jammu district Urban & rural took out a strong protest march from Shaheedi chowk headquarters towards Raj Bhawan.

The police had a tough time to stop the protestors at Residency road and they were persuaded not to proceed ahead. They raised strong slogans demanding CBI probe into JJM scam, against installations of smart meters, removal of toll plaza, property tax, rising prices and unemployment.

Talking reporters, JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani demanded a CBI probe into allegations of the senior IAS Officer who has highlighted a scandal into implementation of JJM in the UT.
Shri Wani also strongly criticized the government into the installation of pre paid smart meters, failure to remove toll plaza at Sarore despite the Minister Nitin Gadkari declaring it illegal, imposing property tax besides large scale unemployment and price rise.
JKPCC Chief said congress alone can lead the people towards peace, progress and harmony and equitable development of all regions and sections of society. He appealed people to teach BJP a lesson in all coming elections right for ULB, Panchayats, assembly and Lok Sabha and also demanding restoration of statehood and early assembly elections.

Shri Raman Bhalla also demanded CBI probe into Jal Jeevan mission project implementation and the serious allegations by Mr Parmar, which is very serious matter. He said Govt. is passing time and not holding high levels probe through CBI into, 13000 Cr. project.
Bhalla said that the centre government & UT administration are implementing anti people and anti youth decisions to crush the people by various actions & to deprive the people their rights to protest over common issues.
The entire Jammu observed complete Bandh over toll plaza but the BJP government at the centre and the UT administration is not bothered and does not bother for the people who gave them huge mandate.

It’s time to teach BJP a lesson for it’s insensitivity and arrogance to the issues of common people and their peaceful protests over lot many problems faced by the people.
