RDD Reasi initiates recovery proceedings against PMAY defaulters
Pouni: The department of RD and PR in district Reasi has initiated recovery proceedings from the PMAY beneficiaries who have received all the installments but have not completed their houses, despite the lapse of more than 3 years in certain cases.
Under the supervision of ACD, Reasi, Dr Anirudh Rai, notices for recovery proceedings were issued to 23 PMAY beneficiaries by Block Development Officer Pouni, Sumit Suri, wherein one last chance was given to such defaulters to complete their houses within the given timeline.
It is pertinent to mention here that an assistance of ₹1,30,000 is provided by the Department of RDD to identified beneficiaries of SECC-2011 survey in 3 installments. The installments are paid in stages successfully after sanctioning of house, after plinth laying and at roof cast stage, as per the guidelines under PMAY of Government of India.
