Two more dengue patients succumbed during treatment at a hospital

Two more dengue patients succumbed during treatment at a hospital here taking the toll from the vector-borne disease to nine in Jammu.

A health official here on Friday said that two patients admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu died on Thursday evening.

He said that 57 dengue positive patients were also reported in the district.

“So far, total of 4,870 cases have been reported in Jammu and Kashmir and nine patients have died,” a State Malaria Department official said.

Of the cases reported on Thursday, he said that 46 were from Jammu district, three from Samba, six from Kathua, two from Udhampur.

“The cases have come down in the past few days and will likely further dip with the onset of winter season,” he added.
