𝗗𝗥𝗨𝗚 𝗣𝗘𝗗𝗗𝗟𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗢𝗜𝗡 𝗔𝗧 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗡𝗔𝗞𝗔 𝗜𝗡 𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗥𝗔

𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶, 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟬𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: Continuing its intensified drive against drug trafficking, District Police Reasi achieved a significant success after apprehending a drug peddler at a special Naka laid by Police Station Katra.

On 01/03/2026, a special checking Naka was established at Kadmal, Katra by a police party of PS Katra.

During the checking, one person who was coming on foot from the Nomai side towards Katra was signalled to stop for routine verification.

During enquiry, he disclosed his identity as Mohd. Iqbal S/O Ghulam Hussain R/O Dhanori, Katra. Upon his personal search, 6.28 grams of heroin (Chitta)-like substance was recovered from his possession.

In this connection, a case FIR No. 66/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at P/S Katra and investigation has been initiated to unearth the backward and forward linkages involved in the illegal narcotics trade.

The entire operation was carried out by 𝗦𝗛𝗢 𝗣/𝗦 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽. 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗥𝗮𝗼, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗗𝗣𝗢 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗿. 𝗕𝗵𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗲𝘆, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗣 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗵. 𝗩𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦.
