DC Reasi Kumar Abhishek reviews development works in Katra; Inspects civic & health facilities
KATRA: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Kumar Abhishek, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Spiritual Growth Centre in Katra to assess the progress of various developmental works being undertaken by different departments in the district.
During the review, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure that ongoing development projects are completed in a timely and systematic manner, maintaining quality standards and adhering to approved timelines.
Highlighting the growing civic requirements of the town, the DC emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to address key issues such as traffic management and solid waste management.
He instructed officers to work in close synergy to enhance public service delivery and strengthen civic amenities for residents as well as visiting pilgrims.
Subsequently, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a field visit across Katra town to assess the on-ground implementation of works and public service facilities.
He inspected the Jal Shakti Department’s water reservoir at Purana Daroor and reviewed its functioning and maintenance to ensure uninterrupted water supply.
Later, the DC visited the Community Health Centre Katra, where he interacted with the Block Medical Officer and medical staff.
He inspected the emergency room, wards, labour room, X-ray unit and other healthcare facilities to evaluate the quality of medical services being provided and also directed the health authorities to ensure the availability of essential medicines, proper sanitation and round-the-clock emergency services for the benefit of the public.
