District Administration Reasi Undertakes Extensive Grassroots Outreach on the Fourth Day of Good Governance Week
Reasi, December 22: As part of the ongoing Good Governance Week (December 19–25) under the nationwide campaign “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore”, the District Administration Reasi on the fourth day intensified its grassroots outreach activities to ensure doorstep delivery of public services and strengthen transparent, efficient, and citizen-centric governance.
The programme was implemented under the overall supervision of the Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Nidhi Malik, with active participation of all line departments. Officers conducted extensive outreach at village and panchayat levels, disseminated information on various government schemes and welfare programmes, and registered public grievances for prompt redressal.
In line with the national theme “Sadaiv Atal”, inspired by the vision of former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee — “Swastha Nagrik, Sashakt Rashtra” — the AYUSH Department organized Jan Aarogya Chetna Abhiyan camps focusing on preventive healthcare for senior citizens. An AYUSH camp organized by Ayush Arogya Mandir (AAM) Sildhar at Village Sildhar benefitted 50 senior citizens, while another camp conducted by the AYUSH Unit, District Hospital Reasi, in collaboration with AAM City Reasi, at Gran Mode provided wellness and preventive health consultations to 90 beneficiaries.
The Animal Husbandry Department organized an awareness programme at Panchayat Bhomag, wherein farmers were sensitized about saturation of beneficiary-oriented schemes such as Kisan Credit Card (KCC), HADP, IDDS, and other livestock-related welfare initiatives aimed at strengthening rural livelihoods.
Under the flagship initiative “Har Gaon Swachh Gaon”, the Rural Development Department carried out a comprehensive cleanliness drive. The department also organized camps for e-KYC, issuance of MGNREGA job cards, grievance redressal, and public reading of the MGNREGA Plan 2026–27. Inspections of Capex works were conducted under “Har Kaam Ki Shuruaat”, along with Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) asset inspections and verification of houses sanctioned under PMAY-G.
The Department of Social Welfare undertook beneficiary-centric activities, including sanctioning and recommending scholarships for eligible students to ensure timely financial assistance. Verification of pending cases under the Marriage Assistance Scheme and various Pension Schemes was also carried out to expedite approvals and ensure timely delivery of benefits to entitled beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, the Agriculture Department organized multiple farmer awareness programmes at Panchayat, Krishi Kalyan Group (KKG), Block, and Sub-Divisional levels.
Farmers were apprised of improved agricultural practices, government support schemes, and initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity and ensuring sustainable income generation.
